Born in Washington, D.C., February 11, 1943, to Wilmer and Mary Audrey Dale, Paul was a free spirit who never slowed down, except to help others in need. Paul lived life full speed ahead and one day at a time. He was a Local #5 plumber, a Navy man, and friend to all.
In 1976 Paul discovered Alcoholic's Anonymous and it became his life long passion to help other alcoholics in need. Paul attended AA meetings every day for the last 39 sober (and best) years of his life.
Paul was an adventure seeker and enjoyed riding motorcycles and cars to discover roads less traveled. He loved roving between the the Blue Ridge Mountains through the D.C. metro area to the eastern shores of Delaware and Maryland.
Paul is survived by his son, Matthew, his grand daughter Stephanie, two sisters, Vivienne and Cathy, and an extremely loving and close knit extended family.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM April 29, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of Peace. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in honor of his wife Stephanie who passed in 2007 of cancer.
