Rosario Simpao Ignacio, affectionately known as “Cherry” or “Charito,” was born in the Philippines and lived a life rooted in faith, service, and compassion. She passed away surrounded by her loving family, leaving a legacy of healing and generosity.
Dr. Ignacio was a devoted Internal Medicine physician who practiced for more than 35 years. A proud graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, she was deeply loved by her patients for her skill, humility, and comforting presence.
A devout Catholic, Rosario was active in her church community and frequently returned to the Philippines to participate in medical missions, providing care to underserved communities. She also loved world travel, embracing new cultures with curiosity, humor, and as a way to deepen her faith.
Rosario will be remembered for her unwavering faith, dedication to her family, love of medicine, and generous spirit. She is survived by her family: Nicasio Sr., Marie (Tinette), Carmina, Jose (Jon), Maria (Con), Nicholas, and Virginia (Virgie).
