Shirley Edwards Wilkinson of Arlington, VA died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at home after a short illness. Cherished and beloved wife of Ronald E. Wilkinson for 32 years. Shirley was the beloved mother of Josh Wilkinson of Arlington, VA; grandmother of Hannah Grace Wilkinson of Las Vegas, NV and sister of Linda Edwards of McLean, VA. She also leaves her much-loved cat “William”. Shirley was the daughter of the late, Lillian H. and James R. Edwards, and lived her entire life in Arlington and McLean, VA. Shirley recently retired after a long and successful career as an executive bank officer. Friends may call at Murphy Funeral Home of Arlington, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, July 26. A service of remembrance will be held at Falls Church Presbyterian Church, 225 E. Broad St., Falls Church, VA, 1 pm on Friday, July 27. Interment Columbia Gardens Cemetery.
