Age – 98
A longtime resident of Arlington, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2013. He was a predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Marion Whitfield Malone. He was the loving father of William Grady Malone, Jr., Gordon Whitfield Malone, Marion Malone Johnson, Helen Ann Malone and Margaret Malone Nelson. He will be fondly remembered by his 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of other fond relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, 2013, from 7-9 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, Virginia. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 915 N. Oakland Street, Arlington, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Arlington Host Lions Club or the Alzheimer’s Association.
