And amazing man, an amazing friend, an amazing Papa... He taught me how fathers are supposed to love their children. Even if I wasn’t his daughter by blood he always made me feel like I was. 

I was fortunate to teach science with Chuck for many years at AHS.  He was a warm, generous and a well-loved teacher and coach. He entertained me with stories of his many excursions into the parks and of course of raising his three sons. His devotion to his family was demonstrated in everything he did. His knowledge of natural history was extraordinary.  Many years after his retirement I called him up to AHS to identify the many mammal bones in our collection. He was kind enough to assist and true to form, he named each one.  I am thankful I knew Chuck and had the experience of working with and knowing him for so many years. He was a man of compassion, humor and integrity.  Chuck had a great influence in many people, myself included. 

Charles V.  "Chuck" Randall was a great man and a great friend to me and my family. We shared many connections and outings together for over 50 years.  Chuck joined me in helping  continue and train an Arlington Explorer Scouting unit under the Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescuer program  from 1968 thru 1971. He made many of the S& R missions we were called on to find or rescue lost or injured individuals in the back country of Snohomish Country. When our respective sons joined Boy Scout Troop 29 , Chuck and I along with others were involved for several years helping guide a large troop of boys at meetings and outdoor events honing skills in  4- season camping, hiking, swimming, canoeing, biking and leadership. Chuck introduced my family and  others to X-country skiing which we enjoyed for years. My sympathies extend to the whole Randall family.  We all have lost a great friend and man who will not be forgotten.   


Mr. Randall, Chuck.  He was my dad's great friend, my boy scout leader, cross -country coach, biology teacher and great mentor.  I can't list all the great memories, he was a strong and humble man, he had a great sense of humor, and a great smile. I greatly respected him as a man and a friend. He is someone whom I will always cherish  of all 
the great memories in my life.  

Mr. Randall was just an amazing person. Loved having him for a teacher and as well when I did track. Never a dull moment. Always learning something new to take with you as your life continues to grow. Always enjoyed seeing him ride his bike through out Arlington. He had such energy and strength even after being retired.  He will be truly missed.  My love and prayers go out to the Randall Family as they are dealing with this difficult time. May Jesus hold you all close and help you get through this time.  Amen 

I knew Chuck through his help coaching the first AHS Girls Cross Country team that I was on. He was truly inspirational, patient, and kind. He taught and modeled the value of persistent and consistent hard work. He always had a twinkle in his eye and it was evident he truly enjoyed working with his students. It was a rare day growing up in Arlington that you didn’t spot Chuck riding his bike down 530. Wishing his family comfort in love and light as you grieve the loss of this wonderful man. Rest In Peace, Mr. Randall. 

What a great and humble man who I was blessed to get to call “Pa”. He cared for others first and always showed interest in what you were doing. He told wonderful stories and made me laugh. (Pictured below with his granddaughter, Alyssa). 

He taught me to fish.  He taught me about joy, caring for others, quiet humility, and gentleness. He taught me how to live.

Chuck was a wonderful person, willing to share his talents and skills with anyone interested.   He was my teaching colleague at AHS, and I had the good fortune to have both his sons in class.  Fond memories of Chuck include him bringing his canoe to faculty gatherings at the lake so we could row around.  Also I enjoyed jogging with him on the trails through the tree farm.  His generous spirit and kind heart will not be forgotten.  

Mr. Randall was a kind, thoughtful,  good teacher. So good, I took sophomore biology 3 times. Regardless of me being a little scoundrel, he treated me with kindness and respect. I was not on the cross country team but I ran with him, just cause I wanted to be beside him. I have thought about him over the years, hoping to emulate his unconditional regard for those of us who other teachers called reptile or hood. Bless you Charles Randall., receive your reward with the ancestors


Chuck will be missed by so many!  He was a great teacher, and did so much for the community after he retired!  Peace!

My fondest memory of Chuck was one winter when a bunch of Arlington staff went to Leavenworth and stayed in a hotel. He taught me how to cross country ski. He was so upbeat and encouraging for my first time. It was a lot of fun thanks to him. 

I had the privilege to work with Chuck at the Arlington Hardware Store. He was always fun to work with. Enjoyed many of his Adventure Stories. He will be missed
