

On April 6, 2014, Patricia Louise Shipley, while surrounded by her loving family, went to be with her Lord and Savior. Patricia was born April 18, 1933 in Pateros, Washington to Earl and Ethel Wood. She is survived by her loving husband, Leonard, of 62 yrs; her brother, James Wood; four children, Mike, Diana, Susan, and Jeff; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Life was an adventure that Pat relished. She loved being outdoors and took pleasure in outfishing her kids and grandkids at every opportunity. She and Leonard enjoyed travel, visiting Hawaii, China, Europe, the Panama Canal, Alaska, the Eastern Seaboard and the Caribbean. Those around her were blessed by her many talents including sewing, gardening, photography, and card making, as well as her gift of hospitality. She and Leonard resided in Bryant for 56 years. The community has benefited from their involvement in many things, including the Centennial Trail project. Pat was a very active member of Bryant Community Church, making sure there was coffee and cookies in good supply and being involved in missions projects. She had a great faith in her Lord and was a mentor and encouragement to all of those around her. She will be missed by those she loved and touched. Congratulations Mom, you made it to Heaven. You taught us to love the Lord, love each other and have fun doing it. Couldn't ask for a better mom.
