Alphonse L. Kochner

KOCHNER, Alphonse L., 96 of Arnold, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016. He was born January 25, 1920 in Breezy Heights, MO, the son of the late Phillip H. and the late Lulu L. (nee Ruess) Kochner. Alphonse was the loving husband of the late Anna (nee Meyer) and the late Bette (nee Sobery) Kochner. He was the loving father of Allen (Gloria) Kochner, Alanna (the late Ralph) Palazzola and the late Arlanna Kochner. Alphonse was the dear step-father of Dennis (Pamela) Ecker, Gayle (Stanley) Boc and James (Cheryl) Ecker. He was the grandfather of Deanna Kochner, Kevin (Heather) Kochner, Stacie (Dalen) Lamer, Heather (Marcus) Warren, Ralph (Tony) Palazzola, Michael Palazzola, Sandra Boc, Samantha (Brandon) Dick, Andrew (Mary “Kate”) Ecker and Jessica Ecker. Alphonse was the great grandfather of Haley Kochner, Blake Kochner, Kaleb Kochner, Kendall Kochner, Nicholas Warren, Logan Warren, Elizabeth Rose Dick and Emily Ecker. Alphonse was the loving brother of Wilma (Theodore) Dauernheim and the late Virginia (Randy) Wohlschlaeger

Alphonse was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. After the war he worked as an electrician and was a 71 year member of the IBEW. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Arnold.

SERVICES: The visitation will be from 4:00 –8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd. Arnold, MO 63010. During the visitation the Veteran of Foreign Wars will have a service at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Church Road, Arnold, MO 63010. Interment will follow with military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In memory of Alphonse, Masses are preferred.
