After a six-month battle with cancer, Angel closed her eyes for the last time on Wednesday evening surrounded by family. Her children literally sang her on her way….filling the room with song as the angels came to escort her to heaven.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel J. Flavin. Beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Angel is also survived by her eight stepchildren Kenneth (Michele) Weldele, Paul (Marjorie) Weldele, Laura Politte, Gerard (Meagan) Weldele, Maria (Jeff) Freshman, Jeffrey (Marjorie) Weldele, Melissa (Shaun) Kennedy, and Danielle Weldele as well as 16 step grandchildren and 2 great step grandchildren.
Angel was a bright light in this world. She gave generously of her time and many talents – sewing costumes for dance recitals, crocheting afghans for every bride and newborn baby, making meals for the priests, volunteering where needed, and saying her rosary every day on behalf of someone in need of prayer. She loved to have fun – entertaining, going to the theatre, singing out loud, and enjoying time with friends and family. She lived life fully and made life-long friends. At 82 years old, she routinely got together with her friends from grade school and high school as well as those she met on the path of life. Angel laughed and loved freely.
