Catherine Mary Hoog Krussel

KRUSSEL, Catherine (nee Hoog), 95, of St. Louis, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on July 11, 2014. Beloved wife of the late William F. Krussel; loving mother of Elmer (Marcia) Krussel, Joe (Nalinee) Krussel, Anna Krussel, Hank Krussel, Larry (the late Betsy) Krussel, John Krussel and the late Mary Kay Krussel; beloved grandmother of Anne Krussel, Will (Patti) Krussel, Pete (Rachel) Krussel, Tom (Sarah) Krussel, Meg (Luke) Osborne, Paul (Jill) Krussel, Susan (Zach) Ellerbrook, Mike (Sylvia) Krussel, Joanna Krussel, Evelyn (Dan) Fleddermann, Sandra (Sean) Barnett, Bob (Andrea) Krussel, Rich (Kelly) Krussel, Chuck Krussel, Katie Krussel,Jamie Krussel, Mike Krussel and Steve Krussel; loving great grandmother of 30; dear sister of Henry Hoog, Marie Schweiss, Joe Hoog, and the late Leo Hoog, Theresa Weimer, Rita Grein, Lucille Herzog, and Carl Hoog, dear aunt, cousin and friend.

Catherine was a founding member of Mary Mother of the Church Parish. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. As an avid quilter she sewed a quilt for all her 18 grandchildren and did many other quilts for friends, church functions and charities. She loved to travel and see the world, especially on her mystery bus trips she would take with her friends, not knowing where they were going, only what to take to wear. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15th, at Heiligtag Lang Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco, Blvd., Arnold, MO 63010. Mass of the Resurrection, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 16th, at Mary Mother of the Church, 5901 Kerth Rd., St. Louis, MO 63128. Interment in Mt Olive Cemetery.
