Dorothy Danette (Vaughan) Duckworth, 63, of Imperial, Mo., passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, February 2, 2019. She was born July 18, 1956 in St. Louis, Mo. to Eston Daniel and the late May Agnes (Lee) Vaughan. On September 6, 1980, she was married to Kenneth Wayne Duckworth in St. Clair, Mo.
Danette was employed by Mark Andy, Inc. in Chesterfield as an Accounting Coordinator for 38 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Festus/Crystal City. Danette enjoyed listening to traditional country music, reading, crocheting, genealogy, watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and St. Louis Blues Hockey and playing with her granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband, Ken, of Imperial, her father Daniel, of St. Clair, one brother Dale (Verdean) Vaughan, of St. Clair, two daughters, Jennifer (Aaron) Hills of Desoto, Sara Duckworth (Reid Lucas) of Farmington, Mo., two granddaughters, Violet Parks and Winnie Hills, former son-in-law, Steven Parks of Imperial, mother-in-law, Roberta Duckworth of St. Clair and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation is scheduled form 4:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, Mo. The funeral service will be held on February 8, 2019 at 11:30 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will immediately follow at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Mo.
