Rita Elizabeth Verhoff

Rita was born on October 8, 1923 in Argyle, Missouri, the daughter of Frank Schwartze and Anna Redel Schwartze. She was united in marriage to Herbert Verhoff on June 28, 1947. Rita enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, quilting and St. Louis Cardinal baseball.

Rita is survived by her daughters, Sue (John) Windheuser and Mary (Steve) Esther. Loving grandmother of Sara (Mike Keener) Esther, Joe (Jean) Esther, Kate (Ray) Windheuser-Rodriguez, John Windheuser, Beth Windheuser, Ann (Matt) Billette-James and great grandmother of Helen Emily James. She is preceded in death by her husband Herb and her daughter, Barbara Verhoff Billette.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 , at St. David's Catholic Church in Arnold, Missouri. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will immediately follow the service at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston, Iowa. Special thanks to the staff of Bishop Drumm NE wing for providing loving compassionate care.
