Robert A. Wery of Arnold, MO passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Sylvia L. Wery (nee Shattuck) and the late Gertie Wery (nee Loper). Loving father of Donna (Gerald) Geist and the late Tina (survived by Kelly) King and step-father of Joyce (Richard) Settles, Robert Liley, Richard (Sandra) Liley, Rodger Liley and Jeanette (Robert) Ackerman. Dearest grandfather of Jennifer Geist, Sara Geist, Brandi King and Kyle King. Our dear step grandfather, uncle, great uncle, cousin and dear friend to many.
Robert was a life member of Becker-Meyer-Becker VFW Post 2593, Odd Fellows Chapter 5, a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Arnold and retired from US Army after 20 years service.
Funeral service to be held at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment National Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Arnold or Alzheimer’s Association appreciated.
