Barbara Ann Johns

Barbara Ann Johns (Barlow), age 66, of Bumpass, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Callie Barlow; her father, Junior Barlow; and her brother, Carl Barlow.

A devoted caregiver, Barbara worked faithfully as a Certified Nursing Assistant in home health, where she compassionately cared for others as if they were family. Her life was a testament to service — not only through her work, but also through her deep faith and active membership at Oak Grove Wesleyan Church, where she loved serving alongside her church family. Barbara found joy in the simple and beautiful moments of life. She loved the outdoors, especially trips to the beach, peaceful boat rides, and road trips with those she loved. She enjoyed cooking on the grill, shooting pool, butterflies, hummingbirds, the Word of God, and curling up with a good book. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Donnie Johns; her cherished daughter, Jamie Jones and her husband, JR; and her treasured grandchildren, Jayden, Julian, Chad, and Deahna. Barbara is also survived by her siblings: Dottie Pitts; Faye Haynes and her husband, William; Troy Barlow and his wife, Brenda; Richard Barlow and his wife, Becky; and Debbie Wimmer and her husband, Dean; her sister-in-law, Terri Barlow; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and her cherished Oak Grove Church family.

Barbara will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to Barbara's visitation at Oak Grove Wesleyan Church, 16360 Woodman Hall Rd., Montpelier, VA, on Saturday, February 28, from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 AM.
