

Hall, Elmore, 78, of Beaverdam, VA departed this life on August 5, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Vance Hall & Linnie Gordon Hall, and two brothers, William Vance (Bill) Hall Jr & Alfred G (Bro) Hall. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 56 years, Mary Ann Trainham Hall; daughters Kimberly Ann Hall and Erika (Rickie) Hall Smith and her husband Ron; son Elmore Scott Hall and his children Lydia, Addie and E.J. Step grandson Ryan Smith, wife Erin and girls Talia and Marissa also survive. In laws Martha Hall and Betty Hall and Stewart C Trainham and wife Katherine, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews survive him. He was a lifelong member of Zion Christian Church and a proud resident of Beaverdam in Hanover County. He retired from Holly Farms/Tyson Foods. He was a devoted hunter and fisherman, an athlete and a lover of a good story or joke. He served as judge in fox hunting field trials both locally and nationally. He served his community as a Jaycee, a member of Hanover County Electoral Board and as member of the Beaverdam Ruritan Club. He served his country in the Army’s 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC. The family will receive friends Wed August 7th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Zion Christian Church, 16158 Beaverdam School Road. Funeral services will be held Thursday August 8th at 11:30 am at Zion Christian Church. Interment in the Corker family cemetery at 19007 Teman Rd.
