Floyd Lee Melton, Jr. (Age 87) of Elmont, VA., went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 16, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Sr., and Janie Melton and brother Gordon Ray Melton. Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lucy Butler Melton, cherished father of Brian Melton and niece Karen Melton, all of Elmont, VA. Floyd was a veteran of the US Army National Guard, Richmond Light Infantry Blues, in which he served for eight years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working in his garden. He was a long time member of Winn’s Baptist Church in Glen Allen, VA.
A graveside service will be held at Winn’s Baptist Church Cemetery, 12320 Winn’s Church Rd., Glen Allen, VA., on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 1 PM.
