George Mosby

George Allen Mosby, 66, of Hanover, passed away on January 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Mosby. George was a millwright mechanic at E.R. Carpenter Company for 35 years and a member of King’s Chapel Church. He served honorably in the Army National Guard as a Sergeant (E-5) and was qualified as a marksman. He was a member of the FFA, and enjoyed dirt-track racing at Saluda, Virginia. He also enjoyed watching Nascar racing and the Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his wife, Tamara Mosby; children, John Mosby (Crystal) and Mindy Ruggiero (David); grandchildren, Natalie and Peyton; siblings, Donna Pitman (Steve) and Dana Mosby; mother, Mary Brett; and dogs, Tiger and Bear. A celebration of life will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20 at 12 PM, where a visitation will be held following the service.
