Jean T. McBride, 78, of Ladysmith, VA., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. She was the mother of Donald Bremner, and Laurie Somers (Linwood); grandmother of Shannon Bremner, Megan Bremner, Morgan Bremner, Katelyn Carter, and Timothy Carter (Kelsey Hearn); great-grandchildren A.J. Gray and Jayce Foster and Colton and MacKenzie Carter. She is also survived by her siblings Mary Bailey and Ernest Thomas and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Martha Thomas, 1st husband whom she will be laid to rest with, Walter A. Bremner, 2nd husband Ivan McBride, sisters Patty Basher, and Joyce Patterson, and brother Robert Thomas.
Jean was a homemaker and loved gospel music.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jean's visitation at Nelsen Funeral Home- Ashland, 412 S. Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA on Monday, March 4, 2024, from noon until the time of service at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ashland, VA.
