Jennie Lee Floyd Harris

Jennie Lee was born on November 16, 1943 and is preceded in death by her parents, Vann and Betty Floyd and brother, Vann Justin Floyd. She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Lowell Harris; her children Vanessa Harris Winn (Greg), and Martha Ann Harris Evans (Shannon); grandchildren Brayden Elisha Evans and Brooklynn Evans; sister Geraldine "Jerry" Davis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jennie Lee attended Sanford Preparatory School in Hockessin, Delaware in 1963, where she was a Gavel Girl and played lacrosse and field hockey. She graduated from Southern Seminary, "Southern Sem", in 1965 with a business degree. She was employed as President of RBJ Consultants, processing safety and risk inspections for insurance companies. She was also a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, serving as Treasurer of the United Methodist Women's Organization.

Jennie Lee loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing in multiple bridge clubs and playing the piano.

The family will receive friends from 3pm to 7pm on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 17420 Shiloh Church Rd., Montpelier, Va with interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org/donate in Jennie Lee's honor.
