Jerry Wayne Short, 68, of Ashland, passed away February 23, 2018. Jerry was the son of the late Hazel and General Short. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Short and brother, Bue Short. He is survived by his children, Diana Buie (Hugh), Timmy Short, Mark Short (Barbara), Travis Short (Stephanie), Chrissy Short; grandsons, Jonathan, Christopher, Robert, Eric, Austin; granddaughters, Kayla, Kassidi, Courtney, Jessie, Holley, Megan, Little Courtney, and Kaylee; great-grandchildren, Blayden and Haylee; brothers, Leonard, Roger, Ricky, and Bruce; sisters, Sissy, Sharon, Lisa, and Donna and twenty nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 10 am at Hanover Baptist Church, 11239 Cedar Lane, Glen Allen, VA 23059.
