

Johnnie was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Anna Eastwood Hall; his parents, James and Irene Eastwood; and his brother-in-law, Donn Glenn.
Johnnie was raised in Brunswick County, Virginia. A man of deep faith, Johnnie faithfully served as a Baptist Pastor, ministering to others with compassion, conviction, and humility. Alongside his ministry, he worked as a skilled electrician and was a proud member of IBEW Local Union 666 for over 60 years, a commitment that reflected his dedication and integrity. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church in Rockville, Virginia. He was the former Pastor and served alongside the congregations of Richmond Baptist Temple, Cornerstone Baptist Church of Mineral, VA, and Union Gospel Chapel of Brodnax, Virginia.
Johnnie was a veteran, having honorably served his country in the Air National Guard. He furthered his education at Hyles-Anderson College, where his faith and calling were strengthened.
Above all, Johnnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Oldham Eastwood; his devoted children, Micah Eastwood and his wife, Michelle; Donna Mitchell and her husband, Paul; son-in-law, John E Hall; Davina Kearns and her husband, Andy. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Leona Ruthig and her husband Gunnar, Bethany Eastwood and her fiancé Cole Ours, Makayla Eastwood, Cierra Mitchell, Jonathan Mitchell, Gracie Hall, Trey Kearns, Aiden Kearns; and great-grandchildren, Landyn Ruthig, Lily Ruthig, and Artie Ours; siblings Carolyn Glenn, Joe Eastwood and his wife JoAnne Eastwood, Jeanne Reams and her husband Bubba Reams, June Eastwood.
Johnnie will be remembered for his steadfast faith, gentle spirit, unwavering service to God and others, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.
Relatives and friends are invited to Pastor Eastwood's visitation at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA, on Saturday, February 7th, from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment will be held at Signal Hill Memorial Park, Hanover, VA, on Friday, February 20th, at 2 PM. Flowers are being accepted.
