Obituary of Kimberly Martin Robson
On Sunday, July 19, 2020, Kimberly Martin Robson passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Ashland, Virginia, at the age of 43 years. Kimberly was loved so dearly and will always be remembered by her family and friends. Kimberly is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter, Madeline, 7; son, Camden, 5; parents, Dr. C. Allen Martin, Jr. and Virginia; siblings, C. Allen Martin, III, Lee Martin (Susan Martin); sister-in-law, Laura Martin; uncle, Willis C. Sherwood, III; aunt, Barbara Brown White; nieces and nephews, Leighton, Courteney, Olivia and Emmaline; and her adored pups, Parker and Arlien. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Clifton; her two horses, Brody and Beau; and her dogs, Grayson, Tucker and Macy. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Kimberly attended Sweet Briar College and later resided in Richmond, Virginia, where she pursued a banking career. It was there she met Michael, married in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 2012, and resided in Ashland, Virginia where they raised their family. Kimberly was very passionate and at her happiest when outdoors. Whether it was a 5k, 10k, half-marathon, full-marathon, triathlon, or rugged maniac, Kim was always up for an outdoor challenge, and she would crush it. She lived life to the fullest through the love of her dogs and horses, her passion for running and cycling, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her incredible devotion, her passion to love unconditionally, her beautiful smile, generous heart and sweet voice that left an everlasting impression on anyone who knew her. A visitation in Ashland, Virginia will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Mobile, Alabama where Kimberly will be laid to rest next to her twin brother, Clifton.
