

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vincent P. Calabrese; her parents, Charles Sr. and Ethel Metzger; and her siblings, Alice Bush, Charles Metzger Jr., and Donald Metzger.
Linda was a devoted nurse and homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and within her family. She earned her Registered Nurse diploma in 1965 from Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management in 1985 from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Throughout her career, Linda served as a staff nurse at Presbyterian University Hospital and Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She later continued her work in healthcare as a patient representative at MCV Hospital and as an office coordinator for radiology at Johnston-Willis Hospital.
Linda had a deep love for creativity and craftsmanship. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, dyeing, and spinning wool into yarn for knitting and felting. She was also an excellent cook and baker who found joy in sharing her creations with family and friends.
She is survived by her cherished children, Greg Calabrese (Gennifer) and Dana Saur (Rob); her beloved grandchildren, Anna Calabrese, Alex Saur, and Liesel Saur; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services are private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henrico Humane Society or the ASPCA in Linda’s honor.
