She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Argyle; a son, Argie, and her beloved twin sister, Marjorie. She is survived by a son, Max (Debbie), four granddaughters, Michelle, Ashley, Whitney, and Kaitlyn; as well as four great grandchildren. Margaret was born in Glen Allen. She and Marjorie were inseparable and remained so until Marjorie’s death. Margaret and Argyle were married on 28 July, 1951. They lived in Ashland for the remainder of her life where they built a good life and raised their sons. She loved to travel with Tommy and Marjorie and took several overseas trips and cruises.
Margaret was a hard worker. As a teen, she worked for Henrico County. In Ashland she worked for Randolph-Macon College and later went to work in the family business, Haley & Durrett Hardware. She was a wonderful mother and always supported her sons. She could be tough on the granddaughters, especially if they got fingerprints on her glass doors. Meme was generous with her family and loved us very much. We will miss you.
