Goodwin, Marjorie, 85, of Ashland, VA, passed away on September 16, 2014. She was born in Utica, New York on September 12, 1929, the daughter of Fred and Sophie Trad. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester A. Goodwin, Jr. in 1987. Marjorie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Tandy Goodwin of Glen Allen, Virginia; her granddaughter, Laura, also from Glen Allen; her grandson, Paul of Wilmington, NC; and several nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives. She was the last of five siblings-Agnes, Ernest, David, Elaine and Marie. Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005 on Saturday, September 20th. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whiteboro, NY at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duncan Memorial UMC, 201 Henry Street, Ashland, VA.
