He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Louise Jones Oliver and H.B. Oliver; and his sisters, Darlene G. Higgins and Patty Sue Stevens.
Michael dedicated over 15 years of his life as a truck driver for Service Machine, where he was known for his strong work ethic and the friendships he built with his coworkers. He truly loved his job and the people he worked alongside.
He is survived by his loving spouse, J Tamara Rothwell; his stepchildren, Wyllon C. Rothwell, Trystan C. Rothwell, and Crystal Grant; his cherished sister, Janice Ruth Oliver; and his beloved nieces, Christina Perryman, Faith Perryman, Bella Rosalie Gross, Jocelyna Oliver, and Jessica Ayala.
Michael, affectionately known as Mike, found great joy in fishing, spending time at the beach, and making memories with those he loved. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his kind heart, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Relatives and friends are invited to Mike's visitation at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA, on Tuesday, March 31st, from 5-7 PM.
