Steven Richard Widener, "Houndog 235", 47, of Ashland, lived in Louisa, passed on Sunday, June 26, 2016, doing what he loved on his Harley motorcycle. He is preceded in death by his mother, Arnette Louise Widener of Ashland. He is survived by his father, Richard L. Widener of Ashland; daughter, Melissa J. Widener of Richmond; sister, Ginger L. Widener of Ashland; spouse, Robin A. Densley, and stepson, CJ Johnson, both of Louisa; and a large group of friends and extended family. Steve was a longtime private dump truck driver until he went to work for a company he loved, Luck Stone in Rockville, Virginia, as a lab tech and then a loader operator. He loved his job and giving the truck drivers hell on the radio. He was an avid "CB" radio fan and known worldwide and keying on his friend "Big Boy." His lifelong friends Ricky and Cheryl Wood were always there for him. Steve always put his friends and family first, and could work on anything. We have suffered a great loss and he will be missed by us all. "235's Back Quiet." The family will receive friends Friday, July 1, 2016 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, Ashland. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Nelsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Online condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.nelsencares.com.
