Terry Barnes Shaw

Terry Barnes Shaw, 68, of Ashland, passed away on April 4, 2018. She was the daughter of Clyde A. Barnes, Jr. and Dorothy Smeeman Barnes. Terry spent many years working in childcare at Auntie's Day Care and as a first grade teacher at Hanover Academy. She is known by many in town as working at the Ashland Library. Terry is survived by her husband of 46 years, Stephen Shaw; sons, K. Bartlett Shaw and Eden Barnes Shaw (Catherine); daughter, Jessica Manning Smith (Jeff) and grandchildren, Leighton Smith, Emma Smith, Eden Shaw, Jr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10am at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Terry's honor.
