William Kemper Welsh

William was born in Richmond, VA on May 26, 1958, to Frances R. Welsh and William K. Welsh Sr. William attended Benedictine High School where he graduated in 1976, and then attended Ferrum College where he earned an associate degree.

William married Melissa A. Welsh, and together they raised two beautiful children. William worked as an electrical contractor and was a former co-owner of Beckstoffer-Welsh Inc. He then went on to establish his own company Electricomm Inc. where he was devoted to his employees and customers. William was a lover of many things. He loved music and in his free time, you could find him playing the guitar with his friends. He loved his family and would always be front and center at any event. William was a lover of animals and enjoyed sitting on the porch with his cats Mia and Tuna. He had a contagious laugh and he lived his life making others smile whether it was his kind words or doing acts of service for anyone in need.

William is survived by his loving and devoted wife Melissa A. Welsh; children, Brook Montgomery (Brian) and Jacquelyn Minter (Jon); grandchildren, Alexis, Savannah, Dylan, Austin, and Shelby; great-grandchild, Krew; sister, Rita L. Walsh (Dennis) and their children Kristen, Ryan, and Anna.

William was preceded in death by his parents, William K. Welsh Sr. and Frances R. Welsh; sister, Anne Putney Manson; and many dear friends who have passed too soon.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Ashland, VA on October 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held following Mass at the church hall.
