

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Myrtle Edwards; sisters, Betty Mahone and Nana Vandergrift; and great-grandson, Trinton Davis.
Willie Ann is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Cauthorne; daughters, Donna Davis (Kenneth), Brenda Woody (Dennis), and Rhonda Milling; grandchildren, Kenneth Davis III, Dana Smith, Tracy Bradley, Melissa Petry, Katie Brown, Victoria, David, and Daniel Milling; great-grandchildren, Keayra, Micah, Kendall, Rachel, Alayna, Scarlet, Sawyer, Nellie, Lelon and Miles; great-great grandchildren, Elliott and Waylon; sisters, Ruby Cauthorne and Helen Nicholson; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Born and raised in Beaverdam, Virginia, Willie Ann grew up in a large family, surrounded by the love of many siblings. She graduated from high school in Beaverdam and remained deeply connected to her roots throughout her life.
Willie Ann was a devoted homemaker, placing her family at the center of everything she did. After raising her children, she worked part-time, holding various jobs over the years, including roles as a caretaker, a DMV employee, and at Best Products. She also enjoyed working in the cafeteria at Liberty Middle School, where she made lasting connections with students and staff.
A woman of faith, Willie Ann was a former faithful member of Newfound Church of Christ for many years and also attended King Chapel Presbyterian Church.
Willie Ann had a zest for life and a passion for dancing and Bluegrass music. She and her husband, William, shared a deep love for camping and attending Bluegrass festivals, often escaping to the mountains for peaceful getaways. She and William frequently returned to their hometown in Beaverdam, Virginia, never forgetting where they were raised.
Ann's beloved husband, Wiliam, passed away just four days after her. The family will receive friends for both William and Willie Ann from 2pm to 4pm and again from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A joint funeral service will take place at 11a.m. on Friday, August 30, 22024 at Gwathmey Baptist Church, 11232 Gwathmey Church Rd, Ashland, VA 23005. Burial will follow at Kings Chapel Presbyterian Church, 13346 West Patrick Henry Rd., Doswell, VA 23047.
