André Rondeau passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 29, 2026. Born on December 12, 1926, at the family farm just north of Willow Bunch. He was the youngest of nine children to Simeon Rondeau and Julia (Légaré) Rondeau. He married Alice Aubert on May 3, 1960. Alice passed away July 9, 2020. They were blessed with six children: Yvette Clark (Bevon), Paul (deceased August 1966), Michel (Dianne), Rita Rondeau-Cain (Trevor), Gerald (Nicole) and Dianne Rondeau (Rob), ten grandchildren: Daniel & Shandel Clark, Christopher & Jody Clark, Patrick & Leah Clark, Paul Rancourt, Clayton & Jessica Rondeau, Brianna Rondeau, Celeste & Brian (deceased March 2019) Cayford, Melanie & Wade Trimble, Samuel Olson and Andréa Rondeau-Brown, step-grandchildren Cody, Antony and Nick and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A humble, hardworking husband, friend, father and neighbour, that took time to enjoy life. His strong faith was evident in how he lived. So many people experienced André’s “Joie-de-vivre” while listening to him play violin or watch him effortlessly ride his horses. The Bible verse Philippians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
André & his wife Alice instilled a strong love of God into the family. Despite tragedy, difficulties, hard times and everyday challenges they stayed true to their faith and prayers.
André would just beam with pride at all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He would drop everything to spend time with friends or family. He was quick to stop what he was doing to help anyone in need. The Lord blessed André with a great deal of patience, a trait that his children are still working on.
When we look back now on 99 ½ years of a wonderful life, there is truly nothing more to do but to smile and to be forever thankful.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Ignace Roman Catholic Church, Willow Bunch, SK. Father Anthony Phung Tran celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Ignace Roman Catholic Cemetery. Everyone is invited to fellowship and lunch in St. Ignace R.C. parish hall.
