

Blanche passed away peacefully in Bengough, Saskatchewan on May 27, 2025 with son Randy and granddaughter Leah by her side.
Born in Ritchie, Saskatchewan on July 1, 1928, Blanche lived a full life filled with love, family, and community. Her hobbies included curling, gardening, fishing, quilting, knitting, and baking - showcasing her creative and nurturing spirit. She worked as a school bus driver, where the kids affectionately nicknamed her "Hurricane Hilda" - a testament to her lively spirit and dedication to her young passengers. She also worked as a housekeeper at the Kerrobert hotel and motel, and head housekeeper at the Kerrobert hospital until her retirement. Blanche dedicated herself to being a homemaker, raising her children with love and care.
Blanche met her husband Henry at age 18 and married him in December 1946. Together, they built a life filled with love and family.
Blanche is predeceased by her husband Henry (2000), daughter-in-law Florence (2013), son Terry (2017), daughter Judy (2023), son-in-law Joe Dubielewicz, seven sisters, two brothers, and parents Ken and Florence McCrea.
She is survived by her son Randy (Gisele), grandchildren Rhonda (Terry), Shelly, Nadine (Mark), Andrea (Mark), Randy (Melissa), and Leah (Brad), as well as numerous great-grandchildren and her only living sibling, Lois.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Bengough Health Centre for their care and attention while Blanche was in long-term care.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A family gathering will be held, followed by interment in the Bengough Cemetery. Donations in Blanche's name can be made to the Bengough Pool Project or the Bengough Twilight Home Auxiliary.
