Catherine McKercher

It is with great sadness that the family of Catherine Frances Darlene McKercher announce her passing on July 23, 2025 in Saint Boniface hospital. Fran lost her battle with cancer and was accepted into God’s good graces.

Fran was born in Regina, SK March 26, 1948. She lived most her younger life in Saskatchewan and raised her family in Ear Falls ON and Winnipeg MB.

She was born with a physical disability, and Fran never let her disability stop her from doing anything. She was a dedicated homemaker to her 4 kids. Fran spent her Thursday nights feeding the homeless at her church for over 20 years.

She is survived by 3 sons Gene (Darlene), Jason (Melissa), Tyson (April) and daughter Pam (Glen); sisters Donna, Charlotte, Della (Ross), Beverly (John), Sheila”fee”, brothers Wayne, Wes, Lyle (Shelly), 5 grand kids and 14 great grand kids. Fran is predeceased by her parents Pearl Dad Harold, and sister Nancy (Bob).

The family wishes to thank the palliative care unit at Saint Boniface hospital for their excellent care.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Fran’s name to Children’s Hospital

Graveside service held Monday, July 28, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK Cropo Funeral Home and Ross Funeral Service in care of arrangements.
