Douglas Gee

3 November, 195113 August, 2018

Doug Gee, of Bengough, SK passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on August 13, 2018 with family by his side. Doug was born November 3, 1951, the second son of Lynn and Agnes Gee. He completed high school at Bengough and tried university but found it did not suit his interests. Doug worked the oil rigs for a short time, but returned to work with his dad at the Gulf bulk fuel station then for Jack Toothill at Bengough Motors. He ended his working career at Ogema Farm and Auto working for Wayne Myren. He loved being a Parts Manager and his head for numbers was a great asset in that job. Doug started to golf several years ago loving the game, open air and quietness of the Bengough Golf Course and his holidays were spent with Lynn golfing and relaxing. He enjoyed going to the bar and meeting up with friends, but especially loved when his family would come to visit. He loved his yard and took great pride in caring for it. He had a great love for music of all kinds, but especially liked the 60’s. Doug was predeceased by his parents Lynn and Agnes (nee Henrikson) Gee, he is survived by his best friend Lynn Frederick; brothers Bob (Christel) and David (Marguerite); sister Yvonne (Gord) and all their families. A Private Graveside Service was held at the Bengough Cemetery, Bengough, SK. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy for the Gee family may be shared at For floral expressions, contact Mom’s Florist at 306-642-4777. Sympathy to Lynn and all of Doug's family. Thoughts of Doug bring a smile to my face thinking of Doug driving so slow down the highway. Always glad when he was the partsperson you got cause he could figure it out even when you really didn't know yourself what you needed

Our heart felt condolences go out to Lynn, Bob, Yvonne and David, you have lost a very big part of your life.
Doug was more than a great partsperson, he was a very dedicated man to anything that he decided to do.
I first met Doug in 1963 when I arrived in Bengough on the bus and Doug was helping unload freight. Later in life we were reacquainted with each other when we worked side by side at Bengough Motors. When I left Doug in charge of the garage I never ever had to worry about its operation.

Doug was always his own man and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Our condolences Lynn and to the Gee family. Doug was his own man and lived life on his terms and at his own speed. Lol. He was always the guy you had to pass on the highway because he drove so slow. Never in a hurry, he enjoyed each moment thoroughly. May you all find comfort in knowing that he is now free from suffering. Peace be with you all.
