Gaetan (Guy) Bergeron

Gaetan (Guy) was born April 20, 1934 at Assiniboia, SK. He grew up in the Montcalm district and attended school at Montcalm and College Mathieu in Gravelbourg. Following his schooling, he helped his brothers on the farm and eventually farmed in the same area. Guy was a creative thinker, had invented/patented a scaffolding system and tic-stac-toe game and was working on a patent for a sled for handicap, prior to his health issues.

Guy had a love for music, acquired a collection of instruments and enlivened many playing violin and piano. He also enjoyed dancing and socializing.

Predeceased by his parents, Eugenie (Audette) and Arcade, three infant brothers, brothers: Florent (Marie), Arthur (Louise), Edgar, Emile (Pauline), and Eric (Solange), sisters: Anica, Laura, Clara (Bob) McBoyle and Francoise, and sister-in-law Louise Bergeron, Gaetan is survived by two daughters Janice Walker and Carole (David) Surry, grandchildren: Rachelle, Jasmine, Olivia, Spencer and Preston, sister Adrienne (Tom) Delorme, brothers Delien and Aurele (Noreen) and sister-in-law Stella.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm in St. George’s R.C. Church, Assiniboia, SK. Father Joy Montiague Celebrant.
