Predeceased by his father George H. Little (1968), mother Margaret Lavina (Whitton) (1960), sister Agnus Isobel Stewart (1969), brother Ian Campbell Little (2001), brother-in-law James Henry Stewart (1982), nephew Jon Arden Flittner (1992), brother-in-law John Bonyman Tufford (2012), George will be lovingly remembered and survived by his wife of 66 years, special to his heart, Shirley Lois Little (Rhodes); three children: Donna L. (Barry) Brusky of Saskatoon, SK, George R. (Vanessa) Little of Cap Estate, Saint Lucia and Delee M. (Kevin) Foley of Bengough, SK; granddaughter Janna Brusky and husband Kristopher Breen and their children Jackson and Penny Breen of Saskatoon, granddaughter Trenna Brusky and husband Bryce Williams and their son Tate of Saskatoon, grandchildren George Aaron Little, Keisha Little, and Miguel Brouet; grandson Terrill Foley and wife Lisa and their daughter Preslee of Estevan, SK, grandson Tyrin Foley and friend Sydney Elder of Regina; sister-in-law Jean Little of Bengough, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Throughout his life, George had a love of showing compassion and for 63 years, by being a dedicated pharmacist. He will be remembered for his community involvement, culinary abilities and love of baking cakes and cookies. He enjoyed his seed catalogues and all the work that followed. George had a love for family and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought a huge smile to his face.
The Little family is so grateful to the amazing staff at the Bengough Health Centre and dedication of Dr. Oberholzer, Sara Nicol NP and staff for their incredible care that was given to George. Funeral Service was held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Knox United Church, Bengough, SK. Marie Barr LPM officiated. Tribute was given by granddaughters, Janna and Trenna. Music ministry included, organist, Brenda Gabel (Little) and Bengough Community Choir. Interment followed in Bengough Cemetery. In Memory of George, those wishing may give back to the community by donating to the Bengough Parks and Recreation Board. Arrangements entrusted to Ross Funeral Service, Assiniboia, SK.
