Hazel Blanche Hale passed away peacefully at Ross Payant Nursing Home in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, at the age of 83. Hazel was born in Viceroy, Saskatchewan on November 11, 1942, to Thomas and Annie Kergan. Hazel was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Annie Kergan, and her brother Roy Alexander (Joyce) Kergan, and her in-laws Forrest and Edith Hale.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Robert Hale and her children Roy (Leah) and Denise Singh and her grandson Ekam Singh, as well as sister-in-law Rose and brothers-in-law John and Joe, aunts, along with nephews and nieces and many cousins and friends.
She met her future husband in Watrous, Saskatchewan at a dance, they got married December 22, 1973. They had two children; Roy in 1974 and Denise in 1976, whom she raised with love and great joy. She first learned the Bible through her mom and got baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 13, 1968.
She cherished being surrounded by family and friends. She especially loved telling people about Jehovah and the Bibles hope for the future. She enjoyed listening to old-time music, dancing when she got the chance, cooking, drawing, gardening, and spending time at the family farm.
She had many challenges during her life, but being the determined and strong woman, she was, she didn't let anything hold her back. She was always determined to help anyone she could. She loved seeing her grandson, Ekam. He always got her enthusiastic attention and was the first one to get a great big smile, and hug.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Revelation: 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at 1:30 pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Assiniboia, SK with Tim Taylor speaking. Interment will take place Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 1:30 pm at Sunset Cemetery, Moose Jaw, SK.
