Irene Marie Letnes

Irene Marie (Roszell) Letnes passed away peacefully January 6, 2026 in Assiniboia Palliative Care surrounded by her family three days before her 100th birthday. Irene was born January 9, 1926 on the family farm north of Congress, SK

Irene was a gracious, kind, and generous woman, known for her warmth and hospitality. She was deeply devoted to her family and her faith. She was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed… until we meet again.

She is predeceased by her husband Alvin, her infant son Billy, her son-in-law Lionel Popescu, five of her brothers and her one sister. She is survived by her children: Janet Popescu, David (Darlene), Kerry (Garth) Cole, Susan (Bryan) Howe and Glen (Benita); 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, younger brothers Terry (Lola), Norris (Diane) and sister-in-law Lorraine Roszell.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Cornerstone Associated Gospel Church, Mossbank, SK. Interment in the Congress Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
