

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Kay Fitzpatrick, passed away on July 3, 2013 at the Assiniboia Union Hospital Integrated Facility at the age of 97, with her daughter, Rosalie, at her side. Predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Jacob Kampf, brothers John, Jack, and Peter and sisters: Magdelina, Elizabeth, Rosie and Margaret, her husband, Maurice (1999); daughter Helen Pryzner (1979), son Vernon (1995) and grandson Tim Fitzpatrick (1977), Kay is survived by her loving children, Rosalie (Art) Fjeldberg, Brian (Zinaida) and Maureen (Mike) Warmerdam, daughter-in-law Noreen Fitzpatrick, son-in-law Ed Pryzner, 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Kay was born June 13, 1916 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She and her family moved to Saskatchewan in 1919 and homesteaded south of Rockglen, SK. She married Maurice Fitzpatrick on October 28, 1940. As her children were growing up, Kay found time to curl and was very proud of curling an 8 ender. She was a relentless Saskatchewan Roughrider fan who watched every game. She was president of the home and school club and the band. She worked at the Pioneer Lodge and Assiniboia Union Hospital as a dietary aide for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral Service was held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, Assiniboia, SK. Father Joy Montiague officiated. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK. Donations in Memory of Kay may be made to the C.N.I.B. Arrangements entrusted to Ross Funeral Service, Assiniboia, SK.
