Mrs. Laura Waronek

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laura Waronek, Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Laura passed away peacefully on August 5th, 2025 in Rockglen SK, at the age of 92.

Laura’s loving kind nature will be truly missed by all. Her husband John of 69 years, children Leslie (Michael), Troy (Trina), Lorrie, Nicole, Natasha (Scott) and daughter-in-law Cindy Dawn, brother David Harden (Linda), sister-in-law Barb, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and many friends. Laura was sadly predeceased by son Monte and daughter Cindy Ann, siblings Birdie (Ken), Archie, Joe, Lillian (Clemence), Adaline (Leo) and Evelyn.

Laura was born 4th in a family of 8 children, on a small farm in southern Saskatchewan. Laura was a kind, intelligent, outgoing and a very social child. She loved nature, animals, horses, music and dance. Upon graduation she taught at a small rural school known as Guilford, Laura was a natural teacher. She was patient, kind and loved to teach children. Once the school year was complete, she attended beautician school in Moose Jaw. Laura enjoyed city life but loved the country and chose to start a family with John Waronek. They returned to Rockglen, there she was in here true element. Family, nature and animals. Laura had 7 children and was a mother and mentor to many more. She raised not only her children but some of her younger siblings.

Laura lived a long and healthy active life. She was known and loved by many. She was a natural mother and teacher. Laura was a beautician, business owner, farmer and rancher. This is such a small account of her fully lived life.

Laura enjoyed the fullness of life and was kind to all and everything. She was easy going and her happiness will live on through her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Thursday August 28, 2025 at 2pm, Killdeer Community Hall in Killdeer Saskatchewan.
