Lysle was born on September 6th, 1948 in Assiniboia, SK. He grew up in Rockglen, where the homestead and family farm still reside today. When Lysle was 20 years old, he would work on the farm from spring to fall and then head north to Slave Lake, AB to work as an operator of construction equipment.
It was 1974, when he met the love of his life, Louise Lamontagne. On October 9th, 1976 Lysle and Louise married. During this time, they chose to take over the homestead and family farm from his parents, Adeline and William. It was there that Lysle and Louise had then decided to start their own family. In September of 1978, they welcomed their first born Troy Jonathan, into the world. In February of 1980 they welcomed their second son Allan Lysle and their third son in July of 1981 Derrick Joseph was born. Their family was now complete.
In 1985, Lysle purchased his first truck – a Kenworth white cab over. With the purchase of this truck, he also purchased his first cattle liner. It was then that Lysle started hauling livestock and feed, building his clientele.
Once Lysle’s sons were old enough to drive, he decided it was time to expand his business and buy another truck and trailer. Lysle and his sons drove trucks together hauling livestock and feed for many years. October of 2006, Lysle decided to purchase one more truck, the red Peterbilt – “That’s My Baby” is what he always said. Lysle still has this truck today.
