Margaret was born April 25, 1943 in Flatbush, Alberta on the family homestead. The fifth child of John and Maria Rampold. Gretel, as she was affectionately known, started school in Dapp and finished in Westlock. In 1962, she married Leonard Blatchford. They lived in Limerick briefly before settling in Assiniboia and raising five children. Margaret worked at Sears, Service Jewellers and Double M until her retirement in 1996 when she moved to Warman. She took up golf and tried many new things. In 2000, she moved to Willow Bunch where she would spend the rest of her years. She loved reading, collecting stamps, knitting, her flower gardens, many other crafts and time spent with her family and friends. She was always ready to volunteer in her community whether it was at the church, the library or Community in Blooms. Being able to travel to Austria to meet her cousins and learn about her family's history was definitely a highlight. She is and will be missed. My condolences to the family. We got to know Margaret when she lived in Warman. We would have Sunday breakfast together in the cafe and enjoyed lovely long chats. Her love of flowers and quilting will long be remembered. She was a lovely lady.

Our sincerest sympathies & heartfelt love to Aunty Margret’s families. She was a very caring & loving lady. Her home was full of knitting, flowers & a hot cup of tea. Knitting seven pairs of mittens for our grandkids without asking. You are at peace. Love always❤️

Sympathies and caring thoughts to her family. Margaret was a gracious soul that you instantly loved when you met her. She was close to my mom when she worked at the library and so good to my family after moms passing. I hope that you and mom are visiting up their and planning your spring flowers and garden in heaven.

Caring thoughts
