Marie Kosti

July 29, 1931 – August 8, 2026

Marie Kosti (nee Ursu) of Assiniboia, SK passed away August 8, 2026, at age 95. Predeceased by husband Pete Kosti, she is survived by her family: daughters Marie Ann Slotsve (Louis deceased) of Saskatoon, SK and Pamela (Rock) Mackie of Madison, Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren: Marie Ann & Louis’s children: Lonna (Sean) Hernandez – Brynna, Braeden, Mateo; Kendra (Jon) Kruger – Madison, Samuel; Kristin (Matt) Crane – Mara, Hugo; Pam & Rock’s children: Tommy (Madison) Mackie - Dean, Kaya; Peter (Ina) Mackie – Alva; Jack (Mine) Mackie – Asena; and Jessica (Trey) Mackie. Marie was also survived by her sister Eleanor Talbot. The family thanks Pam and Rock’s children and grandchildren who visited Grandma just before her passing and attendance at the funeral. We are grateful for the care of Dr. Carulei, hospital staff Jody Juell and Corallee Bushell, Ross Funeral Service, and close friends.

Private family graveside service will be held August 17, 2026 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK.
