Ron was born March 23, 1940 at the family farm near Kennedy, Saskatchewan. Ron and Betty met in October of 1962 and were married July 6, 1963. He became a Journeyman Millwright in 1970 and worked in Regina, Squaw Rapids and Estevan before settling in Coronach in 1977. He worked with Sask. Power as a Millwright and Mechanical Foreman for over 35 years.
Ron was an avid fisherman and loved camping with his family and friends. He enjoyed bowling and tending to the yard and cherished any time spent with his grandchildren. He loved playing cards and was known to say, "don't let fear or better judgment affect your bidding."
Ron was amazingly proud of his sons and his grandchildren. Ron once said, "Any time a grandchild calls your name, it is something important." They knew he could build pretty much anything. The grandchildren will all dearly miss their Poppy.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff at the Coronach Health Centre who assisted with Ron’s care.
