S. Anne Holman

Shirley Anne Holman, nee Pederson, was born June 4, 1940 in Assiniboia, SK. She grew up in Congress and attended Progress Hill School. Anne moved to Moose Jaw where she worked as telephone operator. She met George Holman October 8, engaged January 8 and married April 8, 1961 at Congress, SK. As George was a pilot, they resided in Moose Jaw, Winnipeg, Montreal, Edmonton, Greenwood, NS, Dartmouth, returning to Montreal. Following his retirement, they moved to Regina. Anne and George spent 26 winters in Mesa, Arizona where they enjoyed socializing with many friends.

Anne enjoyed being with family. She liked ceramics, CFL especially the Sask. Rough Riders and had a great sense of humour.

Predeceased by her parents, Wilf and Shirley Pederson, sisters: June Cann, Joyce Leonard, Donna Voisin, Betty Bateson and Eldeen Farwell. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, George; son Glen Holman (Filipe Dasilva), daughter Crystal Holman (Scott Porter), brother Warren Pederson, numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service was held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK. Those attending, please meet at Ross Funeral Chapel at 12:30 pm.
