Stuart is survived by his wife T’Laine Mills, daughter June Archer, parents Jerry and Glenna Archer, sister Laura Archer (David Mueller).
Stuart was born and raised in Mazenod Saskatchewan, attending Mossbank school before taking over the family cattle operation. He loved his girls (the cows) and demonstrated quiet steadiness when handling them.
Stu never let anyone tell him who he should be and proudly sported his hot pink crocs everywhere he went, even when doing cattle work. Stuart was the definition of a gentle giant with his unruly beard, neck tattoo and massive shoulders paired with his steadfastness, easy-going personality and calm nature.
As most big brothers, Stuart took great joy in tormenting his little sister and in stressing his parents. Stuart was a dedicated father to his little girl and a supportive husband who approached every problem with a “we’ll figure it out” mindset. A gamer in his spare time, Stuart also cherished an annual family fishing trip to Jan Lake, first with his father and sister, then carrying on the tradition with his wife and daughter.
He will be forever loved.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, at Mazenod Community Hall, Mazenod, SK.
