Terry Wayne Walter

Terry Walter, of Willow Bunch, SK passed away on June 21, 2014 in the Moose Jaw Union Hospital, at age 63. Terry was born May 20, 1951 at Assiniboia, SK, to parents John and Mary Walter. He attended school in Verwood and Assiniboia until grade 10. He went on to gain his certificates in both welding and motor vehicle mechanical repair at the SIAST Palliser campus in Moose Jaw, SK.

In September of 1973, Terry married Colette Cayer of Willow Bunch, SK. He owned and operated his own garage for a couple of years before beginning work for the R.M. of 42 until 1980. It was then he began working with Sask. Power until 1984 where he started at, what was then Manalta Coal, in Coronach, SK. Terry continued to work as a mechanic and mechanical foreman until 2005.

Terry was an avid hunter, fisherman and farmer who enjoyed vacationing and spending time with family and friends.

Terry is survived by his mother, Mary; son Corey; daughter Courtney (Duane) Setrum and their children Jaylyn, Johnathan, Samantha and Kaylee, Corey and Courtney’s mother Colette; his brother Keith (Marguerite); his sisters, Shirley (Les) McDowell, Sharon (Ken) Berner and Pat (Jack) Roszell as well as numerous other relations.

Graveside Service was held on June 26, 2014 at the Verwood Cemetery, Verwood, SK. Pastor Robert Langdon, of Moose Jaw, SK, officiated. Arrangements entrusted to Ross Funeral Service, Assiniboia, SK. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.rossfuneralservice.com
