November 24, 1939 - June 25, 2020
It is with profound sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of (Elmer) Wayne Warren on June 25, 2020. Wayne, son of the late Jack and Alice (Kazell) Warren, was born in Ogema, SK. He was proud to have lived his entire life on the Warren family farm. Although he loved everything about farming, his true passion was the cattle operation. The excitement of the calving season, the peace of driving through pastures checking cattle were experiences he valued. Wayne understood what was important in life - the simplicity of living in tune with the land and nature, the joy of family gatherings, drop in visits from his favourite neighbours, supporting local businesses, the value of a strong work ethic and the satisfaction of accomplishment. With a gentle demeanour and dry sense of humour, Wayne enjoyed interaction with people and a good story which he would share widely without hesitation. Community was important to him and he was involved as a long-time supporter of 4-H, a volunteer with the Agricultural Society and past member of the Bengough Elks Lodge. Wayne was recognized by all who were privileged to know him as hard-working and sociable, fair and honest, dependable and trustworthy, thoughtful and caring.
Fond memories will forever remain with his family: siblings Keith Warren (Linda Robinson), Winniefred Warren, Gale Toews (Don Crook), Dorothea Warren (Phil Kimbley), Delbert Warren (Iris), David Warren (Nancy), nephews and nieces: Alison Kimbley (Bill Stevenson), John Kimbley (Larisa Murray) and Paige Kimbley (Derek Yaremchuk), Cole Warren (Jillian Fink), Mac Warren (Janine Badduke), Deanna Hoffart (Trevor), Derick Warren (Karla) and great nieces and nephews Chloe Kimbley; Lane, Reed and Clay Hoffart; Adison and Ayden Warren.
