Oksana loved life and wanted “her life back”. Oksana fought courageously but succumbed to a rare form of cancer on September 6, 2018.
Oksana was born in Lviv, Ukraine. She completed her master degree in economics at the University of Lviv. In 1989, she came to the United States where she remained for the rest of her life but visited in Ukraine periodically.
Oksana is survived by her loving mother, Osypa Choma, her selfless stepfather, Mykhailo Klikavka, her cousins, her sister-friends and many wonderful friends.
Oksana was a very private, proud but humble woman. She will be remembered for her golden heart, quick wit and wisdom and kind soul. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She tried to live her life to the fullest and reminded everyone to do the same. Never one to shy away from a good time; she loved to dance and to make everyone laugh but most importantly not to take herself seriously.
"What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us." Helen Keller, author.
