George Charles Kronenberg

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Agnes Kronenberg and his three brothers: John (Jack), James (Nick) and Francis (Fritz).

He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter and son-in-law, Georgene and Alan Tibbetts, daughter and son in law, Kathy and Chuck Dunlap, grandchildren, Melissa Dunlap, Kelly Dunlap and her husband Loren.

George attended St. Monica’s Elementary School and High School. Upon graduation he served in the U.S. Army. He received a degree in mechanical engineering from Loyola University. He married, Mary, his wife of almost 62 years in 1952. He was employed by the State of California as a surveyor. He began his career at U.S. Steel; retiring and then continuing to work at Stockton Steel and Washington Iron Works. He was a family man, devoted to his wife and two daughters; and later his two granddaughters. He loved to camp and fish and tackle do it yourself projects. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Williams Catholic Church, Atascadero, California with graveside service to follow at Atascadero District Cemetery, Atascadero, California
