Larry Deneall Cooks born on January 20th 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana has departed this world peacefully in his sleep on September 6, 2017. He was a proud resident of Atascadero where he was admired by so many. Mr. Cooks will join his loving parents Mary Lee and Davie Cooks, brother Dannyboy and two sisters Barbara and Juanella in heaven. Larry was a hard working family man, who after many years as a superintendent for Madonna Construction started his own business, Larry Cooks Construction. Larry had an amazing gift of bringing a smile to all who crossed his path. He leaves behind his four sons Larry, Danny, Robert, Zackary and only daughter Jennifer Cooks. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Linda Cooks and her children who he loved as his own Tommy, Enet, Jennifer and Danny Jones. He leaves this world with a bright future generation of Cooks including 18 grandchildren he loved dearly and 3 great grand children. He gave each and everyone of them the greatest gift of all, his love. He touched many hearts in the Atascadero community and SLO county. Larry Cooks will be greatly missed by all.
Services will be held at the Atascadero Refuge Church 6955 Portola Rd on September 16, 2017 at 2 pm. Followed by a celebration of life at the Atascadero Lake at 4 pm.
